There are white sand beaches in Norway?!

Why yes, there are!

And they're nice, too!
But if you want to go to the beach, you have to go by horse. Really.
Matt likes the beach. That's why he's smiling. He also speaks in the third person for some reason.

I think this sign means "Yield to Pigs". Seriously, check it out.A week or two ago I took a trip out to Sola beach, which is a beach to the south west of Stavanger, and located right next to the airport (which is appropriately named "Sola Airport"). Lada, an IT project manager from the Vancouver office, was visiting Stavanger, so we hijacked the pool car and took a drive out of the city. I must say, it was great to get out of the city, even if it was only for a few hours.
The beaches here are all fine white sand, but with some rocky areas. If the weather were a little warmer, it would an amazing beach to go to for a swim in the summer. That said, people were surfing at most of the beaches we visited. They suit up in 1 inch full body wetsuits and brave the negative temperatures for some pretty good waves.
